All Recipes Belly Butter And Then Some frontal

While having a baby is exciting there is one thing most women fear – STRETCH MARKS!  When I was pregnant with my daughter in 2002, I was paranoid about getting stretch marks.  I’d seen friends and family member stretch marks as a result of having a baby and I was terrified of what having this angel would do to my body!  But I didn’t just sit around and wait for it to happen; I took matters into my own hands!  I did some research on ingredients I could use that would help prevent stretch marks.  I then concocted this glorious mixture that saved my skin, LITERALLY!!  There was no real reason or rhyme for the amounts I added in or the combination, I just used those things I’d read were healthy for the skin.  BUT honey honey honey, IT WORKED!  Now I had to do my part and that was for the 7 months I had left of my pregnancy I vowed to slather my belly, breast and hips with this Belly butter faithfully every night and every morning … well in the morning I only rubbed a little on because it is greasy!!  At night I bought inexpensive t-shirts because I knew it would get greasy!!  I told my husband “if I should sleep before I slather, grease my belly well”!

Absolutely NO STRETCH MARKS was my result!  I was so happy I documented the recipe because when I had my son in 2005, I gained far more weight than I did when I had my daughter!  But again, I slathered every night and rubbed every morning and AGAIN NO STRETCH MARKS!!

Then one of my best friends got pregnant and she shared with me she was using a popular stretch mark cream but was still experiencing itching sensations.  So I made up a batch for her.  She told me the itchy feeling went away immediately and after she gave birth was pleased to report NO STRETCH MARKS!  Another best friend had a baby girl – gave her some, same results NO STRETCH MARKS!  Now while I cannot guarantee this recipe will work for you, I can attest that it worked for me twice and on two other girlfriends.

I am sharing with you because I appreciate you reading my blog and trying my yummy food recipes, all I ask in return is you spread the word about my blog – send an email, text or phone someone and tell them about all the wonderful recipes on ShesGotFlavor!  And don’t stop there ask all of them to spread the word too :O)

OH and let me not forget to tell you, I’ve also used this butter on scars, bug bites, and dry feet!  HA – LOVE THIS BUTTER!!  Try it and share the love!  Whether you are making it for yourself, gifting it or passing along the recipe, you will LOVE IT!

Looks like a very cute jar set and would make a great gift. I am not a fan of stretch marks so it is worth a shot :-)! thanks so much!!!

    • utokia says:

But you gotta give the gift early in the pregnancy so they can have time to slather the goodness in!! Enjoy and thank you for visiting.

  2. You did a great job! That belly butter really does look incredibly smooth. Which is awesome. Who wants “lumps” and chunks in their lotions? And i love how it doesn’t have extra chemicals or junk in the mix. Just 100% all the good stuff.

    • utokia says:

Thanks Amber, I couldn’t believe this worked for me TWICE! Thank you for visiting.

  6. Samantha says:

Looks like a great recipe! What amount of butter does the recipe make and where did you get your jars? I can’t find a shallow, wide ones good for lotion.

    • HI Samantha I found my jars at an arts and craft store (Michaels), if you cannot find, look online the name of the manufacturer of the jar is Anchor Home Collection. The jar is 16.5 oz. and I had about 2-3 oz. left over based on this recipe

  7. Rosalind says:

Looks like an awesome product! Do you sell it as well?

  8. Tawanda says:

Looks so smooth!! How does it smell? Do you think it would work just as well on existing stretch marks?

  9. Erica says:

I am going to try to make this for my daughter in law, who just found out she is 8 weeks pregnant. I’m curious did you use raw, pure, unrefined cocoa butter or the lotion you can get at the store? TIA

    • Utokia says:

cocoa butter lotion from the store is fine, make sure she uses it every night before bed (with old tshit) and really light in the am because it is greasy and will ruin clothes if it’s too heavy – and tell your son to rub it on her belly if she falls asleep and forgets

  10. Ashley says:

Question on the belly butter. I just made a batch….but mine came out a little soupy. Any suggestions on how to thicken it?
