THIN & CRISPY OOOEY GOOEY AMAZING CHOCOLATE CHUNK COOKIES

There are dozens of recipes for Chocolate Chunk Cookies which produces all sorts of textures, shapes, sizes and tastes but this one by far makes me want to holla at the top of my lungs … I LOVE THESE COOOOOKIESSSSS!!! These cookies are amazing, they are thin and crispy yet oooey and gooey and overloaded with chocolate chunks!  They form their own shape and are buttery and sweet and melt in your mouth delicious!  This recipe actually makes up to 28 cookies so feel free to freeze half the dough for another time.  My family and I absolutely loved these cookies I hope you do as well!  Don’t forget to share the recipe love!  PS – Santa told me these were one of his favorites also … just saying ~

THIN & CRISPY OOOEY GOOEY AMAZING CHOCOLATE CHUNK COOKIES

INGREDIENTS:

2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda + 2 tsp. hot water (baking soda mixture)
2 sticks softened unsalted butter
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
2 ½ tsp. pure vanilla extract
3 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chunks

READY, SET GO:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees and line a baking pan with Reynolds® Parchment Paper
  2. Sift the flour, and sea salt in a bowl, set aside
  3. In a mixer (or with a hand mixer) mix together the unsalted butter, brown and granulated sugar, baking soda mixture, egg (one at a time), and vanilla until fully blended, slowly add the flour mixture in mixing it a little every time you pour more of the flour mixture in until all the dry and wet ingredients are incorporated (but do not over mix)
  4. Fold in chocolate chunks into cookie dough with spatula (do not over work)
  5. Use medium ice cream scooper to scoop out dough balls and place on baking pan lined with Reynolds® Parchment Paper about 2 inches apart
  6. Bake for 8 – 10 minutes, remove from oven and allow to sit on pan for additional 2 minutes
  7. With a spatula carefully remove cookies from baking pan to a cooling rack to cool completely and store in air-tight container (if there are any left-over that is)
  8. Enjoy, Enjoy Enjoy

TIP:  These cookies make incredible Ice Cream Sandwiches by taking two cookies and adding a whooping scoop of your favorite ice cream (my favorite for this is vanilla bean YUM) in between them!
