Wanna know how I discovered this perfect appetizer with cream cheese, wheat thins and pepper jam? Well I pulled up to the Amish market as I do every Saturday morning. I had my list in hand and my tummy craving for one of their “made right in front of you” donuts – Boston Cream to be exact! While purchasing some cocoa powder for my children to make hot chocolate, I noticed a tray of samples. I decided to try one and honey honey honey, talk about return on investment; I immediately bought the cream cheese, wheat thins and the pepper jam! It was the PERFECT flavor combination. It was as if they were triplets!! I ran home and made a bunch and let’s just say there was a small debate over who would get the last one! My daughter won but then of course I ended up making two more to satisfy that last craving for my son and husband!
That Sunday, I already had plans to go to a friends house for a fashion accessory party she was having. I decided to bring my Perfect Little Appetizers (I brought the ingredients to the party and made them there)! Honey honey honey – those ladies ate em’ up like they were a box of chocolates! You have got to try them … easy to make and oh so satisfying!
